South Farms is expanding our culinary team and looking for dedicated team players to fill multiple positions at our award winning farm wedding and event venue located in Morris, Connecticut.
Banquet Chefs, Prep Cooks, Dishwashers
Detailed prep and execution of high level weddings and events. Organization, communication and working together as a team with a positive attitude is a must. Flexible schedule, day and night shifts available, mostly weekend events (prep during the week), on a beautiful farm with a laid-back vibe.
Event Chef / Prep Cook Responsibilities
- Following Kitchen opening & closing procedure
- Preparing food according to client \ chef specifications
- Ensuring food safety at all times
- Setting up service stations (arranging food displays, buffet lines & necessary servingwear for execution)
- Managing inventory ~ First in First out (Fifo) ~ products labeled, dated properly and stored
- Ingredient Preparation ~ properly prepping and portioning products like proteins, vegetables, desserts & more under chefs instruction
Qualifications & Skills
- 3-5 years of experience
- Positive attitude & team work
- Knife skills
- Servsafe certified is encouraged
- Working organized & efficient (clean)
- Follow recipes
- Line & batch cooking for events
Working hours & Schedule ~
- Weekend and Week Day Work Available
- Both Part and Full Time Available
- Starting Rate $25 hr ~ rates based on skill level, education & past experience

Pay: $17.98 - $30.00 per hour
