We are looking for an experienced Assistant Store Manager for one of our Locations- West Palm Beach
Essential Duties
- Coordinates shop activities and services customers
- Reviews floral designs, determines pricing of arrangements and orders flowers and supplies accordingly
- Helps with event venue setup and decoration
- Helps package arrangements for shipment, and organizes shop supplies as needed
- Responsible for managing department inventory, in-stock position, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor, and other operational processes to company standards
- Follows company sales and production planning policies and ensures the department achieves the standards of performance outlined in the work plan
- Plans, orders, and processes floral items according to work outline and standards to maximize sales and gross profit
- Ensures all new hires receive proper training and supervision
- Accurately orders and coordinates receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of merchandise
- Creates and changes store designs and windows display, that enhance the shop's image
- Works cooperatively with sales team to build new client relationships, while developing prospects through networking
- Builds and maintains relationships with residential clients, interior designers, event planners, caterers, venues, etc.
Requirements
- Must have at least 2 years of experience in retail management
- Is an effective team leader and good communicator
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English in both verbal and written form
- A High School Education or equivalent is highly preferred
- Experience in the floral industry, wedding and events industry is a big plus
- Having Floral Design experience is a big plus.
