Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasonographer to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role is a seasonal position from end of March to June , one day per week.
Duties
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to discuss findings and contribute to patient care decisions.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately interpret ultrasound images.
- Provide exceptional patient care by ensuring a comfortable environment and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Document all procedures performed and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay current with advancements in sonography technology and techniques through ongoing education and training.
Qualifications
- Certification in Sonography from an accredited program is required.
- Strong knowledge of medical imaging, diagnostic radiology, and ultrasound techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and medical staff.
- Ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology related to ultrasound imaging.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
