Job Description
As a rapidly growing produce distributor, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk. The ideal candidate for this position will utilize their years of experience in making critical, timely decisions that optimize the efficiency and efficacy of our Accounts Receivable department. This position is a support function within the overall finance department and is responsible for processing and posting of customer invoices and payments and other related A/R functions as well as other tasks assigned by the supervisor
This position is based on site in Immokalee, FL.
Responsibilities
· Receive, reconcile and process all customer invoices and credits
· Correct/resolve invoice discrepancies/issues
· Reconcile short pays and skipped invoices
· Apply cash/checks/credit cards/ACH payments to customer accounts
· Print, email customer A/R (Accounts Receivable) statements
· Prepare A/R (Accounts Receivable) reporting
· Proactively work with customers to ensure payments are made within terms
· Manage delinquent accounts with credit collections agency
· Maintain & update customer contact information
· Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to accounts receivable
Experience
· 4 years of Accounts Receivable Experience, preferably in transactional accounting
· Intermediate and above skill level in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams
· Bachelors or Associates degree in Finance or Accounting Preferred
Requirements
· Knowledge of Produce Pro, Famous, or Thyme accounting systems preferred, but not required
· Knowledge of Quickbooks Enterprise preferred, but not required
· Proficient in computer skills, primarily Microsoft Word and Excel
· Strong Verbal and written communication skills
· Must be able to read, write, and speak English
· Must be able to analyze data and draw logical conclusions and recommendations from the data
· Most important decision are made fully independently, or collaboratively among your peers
· Ensures proper coding of supplier invoices, credits, discrepancies, and payments
