Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with mental health disorders
- Prescribe and manage medications for patients
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, families, and groups
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with specialization in psychiatric-mental health
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field
- Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Experience working in a psychiatric or mental health setting
- Knowledge of utilization review processes and procedures
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Proficiency in Spanish and English medical terminology and documentation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
