Job Summary:
We are looking for an Accounting Coordinator to join our team. You will be integral in the development and execution of the accounting systems for our new business. In this position, your primary responsibility will be preparing, recording and administering Payroll and Benefits, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger accounting and assisting with other financial reporting processes.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or Technical Certifications with major course work in accounting or a related field
- 2-3 years accounting experience including payroll and accounts payable
- Excellent knowledge of accounting procedures and 1099 preparation
- Ability to manage deadlines and work in a high-pressure environment
- Display exemplary ethical behavior when working with confidential financial documents
- Must be highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and computer skills. Proficient in Word and Excel
Job Duties:
- Responsible for all levels of the payables and receivables process, including daily vouching and entry
- Initiate and assist in preparing and entering journal entries to record transactions
- Maintaining and preparing payroll, including processing and tracking payroll, time sheets, hours worked, taxes, benefits, etc. to a system and preparing payroll journal entries
- Maintaining and updating fixed asset records
- Managing company cash flow and bank balances
- Provide backup administrative support
- Preparing quarterly budget under the direction of senior management
- Work with senior management to prepare financial statements for the organization
- Participate in the development and implementation of new or revised accounting programs, systems, procedures, and methods of operation
- Assist in creating a monthly corporate and divisional budget for the company and monitoring expenditures
- Other duties as assigned
