Department: NEURO/EEG
Schedule: , 8 HR Day Shift, 8a to 4:30p
The Neurodiagnostic Tech I performs EEG procedures according to ACNS guidelines. The position performs test set-up, electrode application, and maintains patient safety during clinically significant events and other related duties. Provides findings, results, and a descriptive analysis according to the facility policy and procedures. Strong well-developed communication skills are essential for this position. The Technologist I performs procedures appropriate to their competence and credentials held under general technological supervision.
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
- Minimum education required: High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Minimum experience required: Six (6) months of direct patient care experience in the healthcare field.
- Minimum licensure/certification required by law: BLS Required.
Preferred qualifications:
- Registered in one area of neurodiagnostics through ACNS preferred. Previous PCT/CNA experience preferred
- Skill and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in-writing.
- Skill and ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Skill and ability in Microsoft applications.
