Location: Berrien Campus
Department: BER - HOUSEKEEPING
Schedule: Full Time, 8HR Evening Shift, 3 pm - 11:30 pm
POSITION SUMMARY:
To perform daily cleaning and supplying of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, bathrooms, elevators, stairwells in a clean and sanitary manner in accordance with the standard housekeeping procedures. Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of the Environmental Services Department. Participates in the department’s performance improvement activities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Must be able to read, write, and follow directives.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience desirable but not required.
- Must, after brief training, be able to demonstrate correct use of chemicals, supplies, and assigned tools.
- One week to three months on-the-job training.
WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION
Comfortable routine working conditions with the possibility of irregular schedule including weekends. Exposure to certain levels of stress. Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
