A Server/Housekeeper at the South Holston River Lodge must be a people person. Positive interactions with our guests ensure that they have a memorable experience while at the lodge. This position is for a candidate that has strong attention to detail and understands the true meaning of exceptional customer service. We build lasting relationships and have earned a sparkling reputation in the fly fishing industry and will continue in the same form. We are small team, about twenty employees including the lodge staff and guides, that works hard and likes to have fun while doing so.
Available Shifts:
The lodge is open 7 days a week
· Dinner Server: 4pm to about 8:30pm.
· Breakfast Server and Housekeeper: 6am to about 11am
· Housekeeping Only: 8am to about 1pm
Qualifications:
· Prior guest relations and customer service experience required
· Knowledge of proper food handling
· Strong written/verbal communications skills
· Positive upbeat attitude/personality
· Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness, and work with minimum supervision
· Punctuality and reliable transportation are required
· One year of prior food and beverage experience preferred
· One year of prior housekeeping experience preferred
Physical Demands:
· Requires various physical movements throughout the work areas and on property, such as reaching, extending arms over head, bending and stooping
· Ability to walk up and down hills to cabins with trays of food
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time
· Ability to lift and carry at least 20lbs.
· Adherence to grooming and appearance standards
Primary Responsibilities:
· Greet all customers warmly and with appropriate greetings
· Attend to all guests’ needs during meal service
· Prepare dining tables for service
· Assist chef with prep work
· Knowledge of current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations
· Ensuring a memorable dining experience
· Bus tables and assist with processing dirty dishes and table linens
· Perform basic daily cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
· Perform detailed cleaning of guest cabins.
· Fill in as needed for absent team members
· Develop and maintain positive working relationship with co-workers
· Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards and follow all guidelines stated in the employee handbook
· Maintain confidentiality of guest information and protect company assets
