What are the responsibilities and job description for the 25-26 Volunteer 2 Football Assistant position at SOUTH HOPKINS MIDDLE SCHOOL?
SCHOOL SPORTS NON-PAID VOLUNTEER
Each school sports program has an set number of approved non-paid volunteers. Volunteers must apply and be hired in our online system.
1. Mininum Qualifications:
- Shall be a high school graduate and 21 years of age.
- Shall not be a vilent offender or convicted of a sex crime.
- Shall meet 1 of the following: a. Have graduated from a public or accredited high school and hold a provisional or standard teaching certificate; b. Have completed sixty-four semester hours of college credit from an accredited college or university as documented by an official transcript; c. Be a graduate from a public or accredited high school and comply with the local district standards for serving as an approved substitute teacher as approved by the Education Professional Standards Board; or d. Be a graduate from a public or accredited high school and complete all Board of Control prescribed electives as detailed. Level 2 coaches approved under this provision shall complete these requirements before coaching in the first interscholastic contest.
2. If hired, you will be required to:
- Shall complete all background checks as required by the district and state.
- submit a CA/N report
- provide a copy of your driver's license, social security card and high school diploma or college transcript
- complete the district safe schools training videos (annually)
- complete an approved CPR/AED/First Aid training
- for MS and HS level, complete the sports safety training (bi-annually)
- for HS only, complete the required Coaching Education Courses
- HS coaches only, official transcript from the National Student Clearinghouse.
3. A state background check with Administrative OFfice of the Courts (AOC) will be ran by the board of education.
