Do you enjoy working outdoors and taking pride in keeping your community safe and well-maintained? The City of South Jordan is hiring a Street Maintenance Worker to assist in the construction, maintenance, and repair of city streets and infrastructure.
What You'll Do :
- Operate a variety of light and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment , including pickup trucks, dump trucks, loaders, and backhoes
- Assist with roadway maintenance , including asphalt and concrete repairs, drainage systems, and signage
- Observe and report road hazards , such as tilted stop signs, debris, and unauthorized fire hydrant use
- Ensure proper work zone safety procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain and clean tools, vehicles, and equipment to ensure safe operation
- Participate in on-call rotations for emergencies such as snowstorms and natural disasters (compensated when on call)
