Responsibilities :

South Kansas City SurgiCenter is looking for a full time, day shift Operating Room / Surgical Tech who is empathetic and has good communication skills. We have a collaborative culture focused on positive outcomes, opportunities for professional growth and so much more. Our OR / Surg Tech duties include but are not limited to :

responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure

maintaining sterile field during case

providing surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures

able to work well under stressful and emergency situations

able to act quickly and accurately

this position does not require being on-call nor working weekends / holidays!

Qualifications :

Education and Work Experience

graduation from an accredited ORT / Surgical Tech program AND minimum one year of experience, required

on-the-job trained techs minimum 2 years experience in a main OR surgical setting, required

must be proficient in the following specialties : ENT and Plastics

experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (i.e., General, Ortho, Urology, Ophthalmic, Pain, Colo-Rectal)

current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
