About South Kitsap High School
South Kitsap High School, home of the Wolves, is a student-centered, innovative school with approximately 2,300 students in ninth through twelfth grade. At SKHS we honor the strong traditions built over the last hundred years that SKHS has been in operation, however our current resources are focused on building something special now to serve our graduates going out into the world of tomorrow. The job of Assistant Principal - South Kitsap High School is to be a partner in leading the building’s curriculum and instructional programs, including the building’s Special Education program, and working with staff, students, and families to ensure quality educational program offerings.
Education and Experience:
- Valid Washington State Principal’s Certificate;
- Master’s degree in educational administration or related field;
- Minimum of five (5) years successful secondary school teaching or support experience preferred;
- Academic background in staff supervision, staff development, and curriculum instruction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Has the ability to see things from a fresh and innovative perspective;

- Provides instructional leadership and supervision for school staff, including evaluation of assigned staff;
- Acts as a leader for the building’s curriculum and instructional program, and working with staff, students, and parents to ensure quality educational program offerings;

- Values student achievement and recognizes top performers;
- Establishes a commitment to the South Kitsap community and its students;
- Fosters strong support and equal opportunities for all students.
