We’re seeking a motivated and experienced Escrow Officer/Branch Manager to join our team in our Brenham Branch. Must be able to handle all aspects of the escrow/closing process from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized and have a excellent customer service and communication skills. Book of Business or client following is preferred. This is a small office seeking a good team player with a great attitude.
Job Description:
Set up and process closings for both residential, acreage and commercial transactions
Prepare all necessary documents for closing and ensure information is accurate
Review title commitment, lender instructions, purchase and sale agreements to be sure the duties and responsibilities are clear to facilitate closing
Strong knowledge of closing documents with the ability to explain to customers (CD, Deed, Mortgage, Note, TIL, affidavits, etc)
Comply with all state and federal laws governing escrow transactions and escrow accounts
Monitor progress in compliance with all terms and conditions of purchase contracts
Coordinate the issuance of title policies with title examiner and policy team
Prepare and deliver closing statements to buyers, sellers, brokers, agents, and lenders
Disburse escrow funds accurately and complete administrative tasks such as reporting
Interact and coordinate with industry contacts such as realtors, loan officers, underwriters, brokers, buyers, and sellers to process closing transactions
Maintain business relationships with the goal of growing the business and promoting the company
Attend client and/or community event as warranted to develop relationships and establish presence in the market
Escrow Officer Qualifications:
Prefer college degree or equivalent work experience — high school diploma required
MINIMUM 8 years of real estate closing escrow transactions experience with residential sales, farm & ranch acreage, REO, refinance, short sale escrow, or commercial
Must be able to pass a background check for financial responsibilities within the office
Must possess a strong understanding of real estate contracts, mortgage loans, title commitments, and title insurance
Solid knowledge of title insurance, regulatory guidelines, the escrow process, legal documents, and real estate property law
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize in a high volume/fast paced environment
Proficient working with escrow / title software - preferably Ram Quest
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Must be a Team Player with great attitude for a small office
Monday to Friday / 7.5 hour shift / 8:30am to 5:00pm
Salary compensation based on a candidate's skills, experience and book of business
