Duties and Responsibilities :
FACILITY DUTIES-
- Maintenance of Virtual Classrooms & Platform troubleshooting all technical issues and keeping core program functions operational
- Responsible for the upkeep of software / hardware needs or updates for themselves and the online instructors
- Maintaining awareness and control of all general teacher / student-facing information & discontinuing usage of documents or links to program information that is out-of-date
- Coordination of online educational platform projects or promotions
LEADERSHIP / MANAGEMENT DUTIES-
Creation of a positive working environment of collaborationResponsible for instructor-education and enforcement of all policies set forth by administration to measure and document student attendance, assignment-completion, and attainment of goals.Develop and maintain class cohort schedule and corresponding orientation sessionsProvide support & troubleshooting for all online students & staff regarding general issues as well as program policyRegular and documented check-ins with online instructors that can be reviewedOccasional spot-checking of instructional feedback in virtual classrooms that can be documented and reviewedMaintain & advertise planned virtual office hours for both students and teachersLead as an administrator / point-person for important program processes, like student testing & schedulingLead as an administrator / point-person for online-based conflicts or incidentsProvide input & advice to Director of Adult Education regarding instructor assigned courses & online course offeringsINSTRUCTIONAL DUTIES-
Responsible for teaching courses (as assigned) using instructional methods geared toward the adult learner. Plan lessons and curriculum based on the learning needs of culturally diverse and multi-skill level students which prepare students to pass high school equivalency tests and / or enhance basic education skillsDeliver online instruction & feedback to students using a variety of online resources, materials, and techniques with appropriate web-etiquette enforcementImplement procedures and program retention activities to assure attendanceFollow all policies set forth by the administration to measure and document student educational gains, attendance, and attainment of goalsUses available technology in classroom instructionMonitor student needs to remediate educational deficienciesResponsible for effective classroom management that enhances student learningCreate a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the studentsOTHER DUTIES-

Bachelor’s degree in the field of education, orBachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience in educationPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
