What are the responsibilities and job description for the Firefighter / EMT (shifts/Part-Time) position at South Lyon Fire Department?
The City of South Lyon Fire Department is currently accepting applications for the position of part-time and/or paid-on-call firefighter.
Two Options to Apply for:
1. Part-time Firefighter (To work shifts)
Firefighter I & II certified and EMT-B licensure are highly preferred. Additional paid educational training opportunities available once employed.
Applicant must live within a 0 to 20-mile radius from the South Lyon Fire Station.
2. Part-time/Paid-on-Call Firefighter (Paid-on-call and/or may work shifts)
No Experience is necessary. Paid training for Michigan Firefighter I & II, Hazardous Materials Operations, and Emergency Medical Technician-Basic certifications are provided upon hiring as well as additional paid training opportunities.
Applicant must live within a 0 to 4.25-mile radius from the South Lyon Fire Station. Applicants must have some availability to respond to emergency calls when they occur and will have the option if they choose to work shifts as well.
