Special Education Resource/Co-teaching Teacher Postion
The qualified candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree and required certification in special education to teach in the state of Missouri.
The person in this position will provide support to the instructional process by serving as a teacher with specific responsibilities for developing special education students' success in the following areas.
- Academic Achievement
- Behavior
- Interpersonal Skills
The teacher will also supervise students within the classroom and other assigned areas, develop lesson plans, and deliver group and individualized student instruction within established curriculum guidelines. In addition, the teacher will follow the special education process including the development and implementation of the IEP, including providing specially designed instruction for students and collecting appropriate data for progress monitoring purposes. The special education teacher also collaborates with other teachers, other professional staff, and administrators in programming for instructional purposes for students, as well as addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; and responding to a wide range of inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding instructional programs and student progress.
Students in special education receive services in a variety of ways, including in the special education setting and/or in the general education setting. In addition, some students may have limited physical mobility, traumatic brain injuries, developmental disabilities, severe behavioral issues, severe health concerns, or generally be unable to function in a regular classroom setting.

Salary : $41,900 - $90,900
