Summary: The OPCS Young Parent Living Program is a residential program for young parents age 14-21 and their child(ren). The Assistant Program Director assists the Program Director is managing the day to say operations, supportive services and case management delivery.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist the Program Director in managing day to day operations of the YPLP.
- Work closely with Program Director and maintenance to ensure units are kept clean, neat and within regulations
- Supervise Case managers, House managers, Program Coordinator and Relief staff
- Coordinate intake and assignment of families referred.
- Oversee the delivery of case management services, including referrals, service plans and all clinical paperwork
- Monitor client status
- Assist Case Managers in mediating disputes and providing crisis intervention
- Ensure Case managers maintain appropriate case notes and organized client files
- Facilitate weekly staff meetings and lead discussions regarding the coordination of case management services
- Facilitate weekly house meetings and give feedback to PD
- Participate in regular team meetings with Program Director
- Engage all clients by understanding and addressing their needs whether within or outside the scope of work
- Maintain confidentiality of client, employee and agency information in accordance with federal and state laws and funder

- Ensure compliance with program. Department, agency and/or funding requirements as well as OPCS/SMOC policies and
- procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Supervisory experience of at least 3 years.
- Sensitivity to low-income families of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently.
- Flexibility in schedule.
- Valid Driver’s license, reliable vehicle and evidence of insurability.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required.
Organizational Relationship: Directly reports to Program Director.
Physical Requirement: Ability to lift 25lbs. Ability to walk up and down stairs.
Working Conditions: As part of the responsibilities of this position, the Assistant Director will have direct or incidental contact with clients served by SMOC in various programs funded or administered through the Executive Office of Health and Human Services. A successful background check is required.
Remote Work Option: Remote work is permissible in some positions at SMOC depending on the key functions and responsibilities. The Assistant Director position is eligible to work from home 0% of the week in scheduling coordination with the department manager.
