- Position Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting the general manager with daily work. This individual will be responsible for effectively operating the facility in the absence of the General Manager.
- Qualifications and Education Requirements:
High School or General Education Diploma – Required
College Degree is a plus
- Role and Responsibilities
Ability to manage, lead and motivate the entire team.
Ability to delegate work to employees.
Ability to communicate with customers in a professional manner, both verbally and in written communication.
Entry of invoices, PO’s, inventory adjustments, returns, completing day end in ERP.
Manage inventory of mushrooms and other produce through procurement to ensure constant supply to customers. Purchasing at prices that will be profitable.
Sending out price lists to customers.
Full knowledge of all food safety requirements and ability to maintain food safety program, log, etc. at facility daily.
Knowledge of food processing.
Ensure accuracy of all receiving and shipping.
Organization skills to include filing and retrieval of all daily paperwork.
Ability to make quick decisions.
Ensure all daily work is completed and secure facility.
Handle employee questions about policies and procedures.
Remain in compliance with all facility requirements
Control costs to achieve company budget goals
Overview of comprehensive preventative maintenance of equipment
- Needed Skills
Ability to speak English. Spanish a plus.
Strong administration and management skills.
Knowledge of food processing.
Organized and task oriented.
Self-Starter with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Attention to detail.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite required; knowledge of ADP is a plus
Willingness to work independently or as part of a team
Able to explain training material to staff
