What are the responsibilities and job description for the NS DC Packing Leader position at South Mill Champs?
Role and Responsibilities
- Be able to take place on any position as need it, replace cooler, if necessary, replace finish goods warehouse and forklift operator, help receive any company supplies and be able to work with all the packing environments.
- Facilitate and oversee the movement of products from receiving to shipping by way of packing.
- Train and mentor new packers on proper packing techniques and safety procedures.
- Help to monitor ensuring quality control of the product, packaging, wrapping, and labeling.
- Coordinate workflow and delegate tasks to ensure efficient operations.
- Communicate with Supervisors and Managers regarding performance, issues, and improvements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
Knowledge/skills/abilities:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using warehouse tools: Pallet Jacks – Forklifts.
- This position entails some bending, reaching, grasping, walking, carrying, variable temperatures, and prolonged standing.
- experience on managing finish goods product, be able to read and understand customer needs, respect and understand packing personal.
