Qualifications and Requirements
- At least five years of related experience in the produce field preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- 1 year of Customer Service and Sales preferred.
Job Description
- Driver of specified truck made available to provide deliveries.
- Understands customer orders and loads and distributes as specified.
- Maintains safety precautions at all times during use of delivery vehicle.
- Arrange for the distribution of available product for new and existing customers.
- Builds and maintains their route’s network of sources from which to identify possible new sales leads.
- Communicates with customers to identify and understand their product needs.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; alerts facility manager of any issues that may arise during or post-sale.
- Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
- Provides detailed reports after each trip of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
