SOUTH MISSISSIPPI REGIONAL CENTER IS SEEKING A
1 CONTRACT RISK MANAGER
WORK LOCATION: ADMINISTRATION
PAY: $30 PER HOUR: Hours not to exceed 28 hours per week
SCHEDULE/SHIFTS: Monday through Friday. Varies May have to work weekends if needed.
CONTRACT TERM: CONTRACT WILL BE FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs all functions and exercises authority necessary in administering investigations regarding allegations of client abuse and neglect, vehicle accidents, Workers’ Compensation, safety measures, life safety codes and incidents that require Risk Management involvement. Plans, directs, and coordinates the activities associated with an investigation through Directors, supervisors and staff. Interprets, formulates, recommends, and/or implements policies, rules, and regulations as necessary. Serves as liaison between an administrative superior and the various branches of the division. Ensures coordination of activities of the division with other divisions within the agency. Maintains effective public relations with other state agencies and the public, including interpretation and advocacy of agency policy. Recommends appointment/termination of personnel as needed. Commits resources to projects with prior administrative approval. Performs related or similar duties as required or assigned. Reviews all incident reports, COVID reports and provides an ongoing inventory of PPE supplies. Member of the Infection Control Committee. Directs and supervises campus security officers.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 6-8 years of experience. Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.
