South Mississippi Regional Center is a program of the Mississippi Department of Mental Health providing care and support for people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking individuals who are energetic and compassionate team players and motivators for direct support positions at all of our locations. Each position at South Mississippi Regional Center is an important and impactful role that provides our individuals with the appropriate level of care to meet their social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Takes and records vital signs, reporting significant changes to the appropriate person.
- Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment and examination of individuals.
- Performs catheterization and catheter care.
- Provides for the emotional and physical comfort and safety of individuals.
- Observes, records, and reports to the appropriate persons the general and specific physical and mental conditions of individuals served.
- Renders general nursing care by administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
- Performs related or similar duties as required or assigned.
Full time positions are as follows:
Nurse II, 1-2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
$47,238.40 annual
$13,699.13 TDL @ 29%
