This position works in the front office and acts as the face of the city by providing customer support to those in need of city or court services. This role involves answering and resolving questions and providing information about city and court procedures both in person and over the phone.
Court support includes issuing arrest and bench warrants, processing orders to show cause, and entering case information into the computer system. The position also assists with general office functions and daily processes related to public assistance, including processing court and utility payments, preparing written communication, and scheduling and organizing tasks. Additionally, this position serves as a passport acceptance agent.
Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and two years of customer service or court experience. An associate's degree and eligibility to receive security clearance to access the State Computer System (UCJIS) are preferred.
The starting hourly wage for this position is $20.90 to $26.23 per hour, based on experience.
The position is scheduled to work 20 to 25 hours per week, but schedules can be flexible.
