Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dietary Aide to join our team. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a crucial role in providing nutritional support to our residents/patients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with meal preparation and ensure that all dietary needs are met. Responsibilities:
- Assist with meal preparation, including cutting, chopping, and measuring ingredients
- Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency
- Serve meals to residents/patients in a timely and professional manner
- Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, utensils, and equipment
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and notify supervisor when items need to be restocked
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
- Assist with dishwashing and kitchen cleanup as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any resident/patient concerns or special dietary requests
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong time management skills to ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in an assisted living facility, hospital, nursing home, or similar setting
- Culinary training or certification is a plus
Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
