THE POSITION
Candidates should have experience working in a special education classroom or resource room setting, with behavior modification experience. He / she should desire to work cooperatively with academic teachers within a team concept.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
1. NJ Teacher certification of the Handicapped OR Teacher of Students with Disabilities, and secondary School Teacher required. Teacher of Science certification preferred.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
3. Teaching experience with special needs students preferred.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
5. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident / immigrant status.
