Objectives of this role
- Review and improve organizational effectiveness by following processes and protocols, developing new processes, overseeing a team of about 20 staff members, establishing a highly motivational work environment, and implementing innovative changes.
- Adhere to company standards for excellence, safety and quality.
- Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth.
- Provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- You will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service to both our 2 and 4 legged clients.
- Oversee and operate all day-to-day operations.
- Provide support to the entire South Paw Team to ensure successful completion of all daily requirements, while reporting to, and communicating with the business owner.
- Recruit, onboard, and train employees.
- Maintain project and event timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively.
- Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans.
- Delegate responsibilities to the best-qualified employees and enforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values.
- Resolve internal staff and client conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of all involved.
- Facility care, cleaning and maintenance of a sanitary environment, and the care of our boarding dogs.
- Scheduling, supply ordering, minor maintenance and repairs.
- Daily use of pet resort scheduling/reservation system
- Social media marketing
- Maintaining/overseeing the cleanliness of the ENTIRE facility and grounds.
- Miscellaneous tasks/Errands as needed
- Attending/Overseeing Events
- Must be comfortable with cleaning pet feces and fluids.
Required skills and qualifications
- Completion of college associates degree or 2 years of same employment leadership position.
- Proven success in at least a 10 team leading role, min. 2 year experience.
- Strong decision-making ability
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
- Proven ability to develop and achieve financial plans
- Ability to motivate and lead employees, and hold them accountable
- Problem solving and quick-thinking common-sense skills
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business management or related field
- Experience in conducting performance evaluations
- Working knowledge of human-resources processes
- Experience working with animals. First aid knowledge, canine behavior and communication knowledge, and other pet care skills.

Starting Pay: $56,000-66,000 per year
Shift: South Paw is open 7 days a week, 365 days, 24 hours. Must be ready and willing to WORK.
