Endoscopy RN at South Plains Endoscopy Center
Prepares patients, equipment and room for Endoscopy procedures. Assists physicians with Endoscopy procedures per the SGNA guidelines. Specialized knowledge, experience and training is required for endoscope manipulation under the direction of the physician. Knows and adheres to policies of the Center and demonstrates fiscal responsibility. Follows standards, policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for Endoscopy nursing care according to accepted standards. Maintains and demonstrates current skills and knowledge of Endoscopy procedures and techniques. Provides multi-dimensional care for assigned patients. Includes patient care in the pre-operative holding area, care in the Endoscopy suite, and care for the patient in the PACU.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in Endoscopy (GI)
- Experience is required for endoscope manipulation under the direction of the physician
- Graduate of a school of nursing
- TX RN license
