Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and support to residents in accordance with their individual care plans.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Assist residents with daily living activities, promoting independence and dignity.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor and document residents' health status, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care strategies.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills related to patient care and rehabilitation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in patient care, preferably in a nursing home or rehabilitation setting.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining privacy standards.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare practices.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform catheter care and other specialized tasks as needed.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and team members.
