South Pole develops and implements comprehensive emission reduction projects and strategies that turn climate action into long-term business opportunities for companies.

We're looking for a passionate, driven, and results-oriented Business Development SpecialistLead to join our team and help us expand our reach and connect with potential customers. You will have an opportunity to learn the business from the ground floor, work with some of the smartest minds in the sustainability space, and contribute significantly to our bottom line right away.

Main tasks & responsibilities :

As a Business Development Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for potential customers. Your role will be to generate high-quality leads, build relationships, and set up meetings for our sales team. This is a key position that directly contributes to our company's growth and success.

You will be tasked with :

  • Identifying and researching new business opportunities through various lead generation methods.
  • Prospecting outbound leads and qualifying inbound leads using phone, email, and social outreach.
  • Joining meetings and working closely with the Account Managers to nurture relationships with prospective clients and converting them into qualified opportunities.
  • Staying informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and the latest developments in our product / service.

Requirements : Essential -

  • University degree in Sustainability and / or Business related discipline
  • At least 1-2 years of work experience with a high preference for experience in sales and / or the climate field
  • Track record in meeting and exceeding targets of any kind
  • Results-driven and action-oriented with self-direction and sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, in English
  • Advanced prioritisation and time management skills
  • Genuine passion and alignment to the climate change industry
  • Desirable -

    The following skills and experience are considered as a plus :

  • Climate action and carbon projects knowledge
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced international environment
  • Experience using Salesforce
