POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will provide courteous, caring and professional customer service to the Residents and work diligently to achieve outstanding service with all tasks related to the dining hall.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in preparation of food and beverages as directed.
- Follow all kitchenware cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
- Provide courteous service to residents.
- Replenish supplies and report shortages items to supervisor.
- Inform supervisor of any issues as well as concerns brought forth by residents.
- Attending required training.
- Follow all safety policies and report any unsafe conditions or concerns.
- Complete daily cleaning assignments.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Food service training or experience working in a food service role preferred.
- Experience working with an elderly population.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Organized with attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work within a team.
- Adhere to dress code.
- Submit any schedule changes to supervisor for approval.
- Maintain a positive attitude and respond appropriately in stressful situations.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to push a 50-pound kitchen cart on occasion.
- Work is primarily in a kitchen and dining hall environment with long periods of standing and walking.
- Ability to grip and grasp kitchen equipment to use effectively, to walk, stand, kneel, and climb stairs.
