SPSCC) seeks highly motivated and qualified candidates for the position of IT Customer Support Technician - Entry.
The IT Customer Support Technician supports the work of the College by providing technology support, both on a telephone and drop-in basis, to students, faculty, and staff. Technicians respond to technology questions and problems, troubleshooting problems with users and providing triage to appropriate escalation levels whenever necessary.

What You'll Do
The technician position performs consulting, programming, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and / or technical support for college technology users. The position uses established industry standards and innovative approaches to complete assignments and coordinate assigned projects. The position is part of the Information Technology Services (ITS) team and reports to the Client Services Director.
Classroom Instructional Computing and Multimedia - Works with faculty to determine instructional computing needs. Facilitates the setup, configuration, and installation of the determined solution within the standards of College classroom setups to ensure a stable computing environment. Installs and maintains standard, stable AV systems in classrooms, including projectors and audio systems.
General Desktop, Laptop, and Device Support & Troubleshooting - Works directly with staff to determine administrative computing needs. Responsible for deployment and testing of standard, stable computing images. Provides troubleshooting and support for all IT equipment, including servers, workstations, mobile devices, thin clients, printers, scanners, telephone, teleconference systems, and department-specific equipment and software, such as credit card readers, Testing solutions, and document imaging solutions.
Student Support - Works as part of a team to provide primary technical support for students in navigating the college's technology landscape.
Software Imaging - Responsible for deployment and testing of standard, stable desktop images to support classroom and administrative workstations.
Computer Rollouts - Works as part of a team to roll out new classroom or administrative workstations.
