South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) seeks a highly motivated and qualified individual for the Worker Retraining Coordinator position to support the Workforce Education department.

This position reports directly to the Associate Dean for Workforce Education.
Tasks include:
- Function as point-of-contact for Worker Retraining by resolving problems, responding to routine inquiries, and addressing student needs.
- Maintain regular contact with WorkSource and related agencies regarding Worker Retraining-eligible students.
- Collaborate with Student Services and other offices on campus to identify potential Worker Retraining students and determine their eligibility.
- Provide outreach to inform students about Worker Retraining, in collaboration with Student Services. Outreach will include visiting classes (day, evening, and weekend), and tabling at both college and community events.
- Advise and support students in completing worker retraining or general workforce funding applications and acquiring necessary documentation.
- Provide academic advising to Worker Retraining students in their first quarter at SPSCC and provide a soft handoff to program educational planner after the first quarter.
- Send eligible student information to Financial Aid for appropriate coding and connect students with Financial Aid if support is needed.
- Collect, file, and maintain applications and necessary documentation from eligible students.
- Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating application and intake procedures.
- Monitor progress of eligible Worker Retraining students throughout their educational experience at SPSCC and notify students of any changes to their eligibility status.
- Assist workforce administrator in ensuring adherence to state guidelines for Worker Retraining.
- Train college staff on Worker Retraining process and requirements as needed.
- Other job duties as assigned.

- Able to work occasional evenings and weekends and able to travel locally.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree plus one year of experience in advising, educating, or assisting adults from diverse backgrounds in career exploration or similar activities.
