Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Finance Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be managing financial operations within our organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial transactions. This position is essential for maintaining the financial health of our dental office and providing exceptional patient service. Open Dental experience is a plus!
Duties
- Presenting treatment plans, billing, collections, and payment processing.
- Manage patient accounts, ensuring accurate records and timely follow-ups on outstanding balances.
- Coordinate with insurance companies, verify patient coverage and process claims efficiently.
- Utilize phone systems/email to communicate effectively with patients and staff regarding financial inquiries.
- Support the dental office team by providing insights on financial performance and areas for improvement.
- Provide bilingual support to patients when necessary, enhancing communication and service delivery.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an oral surgery financial coordinator or in a similar role within a dental office is preferred.
- Strong understanding of billing procedures, insurance claims, and patient service protocols.
- Proficiency in using computerized systems for financial management and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Familiarity with phone systems and their effective use in a professional setting.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities.
- Open Dental experience is a plus.
