TITLE: High School / Middle School Art Teacher
RESPONSIBLE TO: HS/MS Principal
WORK YEAR/ Salary Range: 163 days / $46,218 - $85,813 - Depending on education and experience. Students attend school Mon-Thurs with staff work days alternating Fridays.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The teacher will conduct an instructional program according to the Board of Education requirements and the state program approval. The basic curriculum for each course shall be adhered to and:
- Utilize effective instructional strategies and materials
- Basic skills and abilities of students be developed in the classroom
- Assume a responsible role in public and professional partnerships by actively participating in civic, professional and other community organizations.
- Establish and monitor school procedures for keeping classroom and grounds neat and attractive at all times
- Ensure that classroom safety is taught and observed at all times.
- Conduct an annual inventory of all classroom tools, equipment and supplies; and supply administration with the inventory documentation
- The teacher will supervise the students at off-campus activities
- If candidate has a Master’s degree there may be the opportunity to teach college courses through concurrent enrollment
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a current Colorado Teaching License, a Colorado Alternative License or a Colorado Adjunct License.
- Must have a proven track record of working collaboratively with staff members to best meet the academic and
social/emotional needs of all students
- Experience teaching in K-12 preferred
- Completed background check
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
This role involves the person in this position being able to make good, sound decisions based on information available. Written and spoken language proficiency is a must, and the ability to respond professionally in a timely manner to questions from groups of parents or community members is required. This person should be proficient in the use of technology, which includes: basic operations and concepts, word processing, spreadsheets, internet usage, critical evaluation of information, data analysis, email, and use of both Google and Microsoft Office platforms.
