What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional I - Child Development Program (Children's Center) (REPOST) position at South San Francisco Unified?
Under the direction of the classroom teacher/ assigned supervisor, provide instruction and support to individuals, small groups or large groups of students in a Child Development classroom. Provide a safe and loving environment for children in a Child Development classroom or program; assist with planning and implementing a variety of activities to meet the needs and interests of the children; monitor and report student progress, assist in the preparation of instructional materials and provide routine clerical support in the classroom or other learning environment. The SSFUSD community includes 15 schools supporting 8,000 students in Daly City, San Bruno, and South San Francisco. If you have an AA degree or higher or have acheived 48 college units (general ed coursework), you are required to attach transcripts to this application. If you do not meet these requirements you may pass a local assessment of knowledge or skills that demonstrate the equivalent to the required job description.
In addition to the 48 college units or a passing score on the local assessment, you must also hold, at minimum, an associate teacher level permit
-Must have completed 4 core courses (twelve units) in Early Childhood Education. The core courses are child/human growth and development, child/family/community OR child family relations and program/curriculum.
