POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of Owner Relations is responsible for managing the resort’s owner inventory, building and maintaining strong relationships with owners, and ensuring the highest quality standards for all units. This role leads the Owner Relations team, holding them accountable for department goals while fostering a culture of excellence. The Director collaborates closely with multiple departments, including Guest Services, Engineering, and Housekeeping, to uphold the resort’s standards and ensure units remain in pristine condition.

ANNUAL SALARY up to $90,000  competitive incentive and bonus plan 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (not limited to)

Owner Relations & Inventory Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners, both within and outside the rental program as well as HOAs and vendors.
  • Oversee the management of owner inventory, ensuring optimal participation in rental agreements and membership programs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owner inquiries, concerns, and feedback.

Team Leadership & Accountability

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Owner Relations team, ensuring high performance and accountability.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and ongoing development of team members.
  • Establish and enforce clear performance expectations, providing coaching and support as needed

Administration Management

  • Manage Owner Portal
  • Handle Email Distributions & Communications
  • Set Up & Close Membership Accounts
  • Oversee Office Management

Unit Quality & Renovation Oversight

  • Conduct bi-annual unit inspections to ensure compliance with resort standards.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Housekeeping to maintain units in pristine condition.
  • Oversee renovation projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality guidelines.

Operational Excellence & Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Manage daily operations of the Owner Relations department, ensuring seamless communication with internal teams.
  • Work with Guest Services, Engineering, and Housekeeping to uphold resort standards and address maintenance or service concerns.
  • Utilize various property management systems, including PMS, HotSOS, HappyCo, and others, to track unit conditions and resolve issues efficiently.

Sales & Program Growth

  • Drive sales efforts related to rental agreements and membership programs, educating owners on the benefits of participation.
  • Own department goals, ensuring revenue growth and owner satisfaction.
  • Develop strategies to increase program participation and enhance the owner’s experience.
  • A competitive incentive plan, complementing the base salary, designed to motivate sales efforts in attracting new owners to our rental program and increasing membership in Club Captiva.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field; or 5 years of experience in Property Management or Hospitality Management.
  • Extensive knowledge of rental agreements and membership programs in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership experience, with a proven ability to hold teams accountable and drive performance.
  • Experience overseeing unit renovations and inspections to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to foster strong owner partnerships.
  • Proficiency in property management systems, including PMS, HotSOS, HappyCo, and other operational tools.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments to ensure seamless owner and guest experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS - PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

This role requires a proactive, results-driven leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional owner experiences while driving operational and financial success.

Excellent organizational skills and time management

Lifting requirements up to 40 lbs. 

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Must be able work in different types of weather sometimes extreme, including high temperatures and humidity.

Requires walking and standing for extended periods, including navigating staircases and outdoor areas. Some lifting up to 40 lbs. may be required.

Fast-paced environment requiring multitasking, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines.
