We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our Middle and High School team. The School Nurse will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of students, ensuring a safe and healthy school environment. This position involves providing medical care, managing health records, and collaborating with staff to address the health needs of students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and a commitment to upholding health standards within the school setting.
Qualifications:
- need 1,000 hours of clinical experience as an Registered Nurse
- certification as a registered or higher,
- knowledge of health and safety issues related to public schools,
- creative and collaborative problem solver,
- positive, professional attitude and work ethic,
- excellent communication and organizational skills,
- ability to work well with all members of the school community,
Responsibilities:
- maintain accurate and complete health records of all students in the secondary school,
- provide support and response to the health and medical needs of students and staff during the school day,
- interact with other health providers,
- coordinate medication of students
- other appropriate duties and responsibilities assigned by the principal or superintendent of schools
