Job Summary and Qualifications
CT Technologist: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to perform diagnostic CT examinations accurately in a respectful manner. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for:
- Selecting proper technical factors for study and performing diagnostic CT examinations.
- Possessing sound operational knowledge of the CT scanner, pressure injector, resuscitation equipment, laser filmer, and teleradiology system.
- Preparing, transferring, and positioning patients as needed, ensuring modesty and safely utilizing auxiliary equipment.
- Documenting all pertinent clinical information prior to exams, obtaining informed consent, and completing required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
- Obtaining high-quality CT images and submitting only optimal images for interpretation.
- Remain proficient in executing software protocols and staying up-to-date with changes in the field by attending courses or seminars as necessary.
- Maintaining proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues, including radiologists.
- Checking equipment operation, maintaining cleanliness of tables/equipment to prevent cross-contamination, and keeping rooms stocked with linens and necessary supplies.
- Accepting on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
- State Registered Radiologic Technician
- Associate Degree
