Job Summary:
Sales Representatives typically cover a territory that requires a certain amount of daily travel. Depending on the size of the territory, you may work directly from home or start your day from the brewery. Sales representatives are responsible for both “on-premise” (restaurant, bars, etc.) and “off-premise” (liquor stores, etc.) accounts. Sales representatives must have excellent communication skills, and strong negotiation skills, and a passion for craft beer. South Shore Brewery Sales Representative sells products by interacting with established customers and developing new market growth. The position is responsible for ensuring that sales goals are met by strategically increasing sales volume through sustainable growth. This position involves a considerable amount of time in the field visiting accounts, educating and building existing and new relationships in order to forge strong partnerships. In this very competitive atmosphere, brand management and promotion are everything. South Shore Brewery has unique challenges. Those challenges must be addressed and overcome by a devoted salesperson.

Responsibilities:

  • Well versed in South Shore’s history, brands and be versed in those of the competition.
  • Create, plan and execute sales strategies.
  • Create, plan and execute promotional events with retailers.
  • Observe all state and federal laws for the sale, merchandising, and promotion of brewery products.
  • Achieve sales goals for revenue and volume growth.
  • Visiting brewery accounts, tracking and monitoring sales growth.
  • Submitting sales reports.
  • Opening new accounts.
  • Assisting distributor partners in promoting sales and marketing programs.
  • Implementing sales and marketing programs for the brewery portfolio.

Skills required:

  • Excellent personal communication skills to build great relationships with our customers.
  • Attention to detail and math skills is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of beer and a good sense of smell, skill distinguishing flavors and colors in beer.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule: days, nights and or weekends.
  • Demonstrated leadership.
  • A basic familiarity in using the web and other technology.
  • The ability to lift 35 pounds.
  • The ability to transport kegs with a dolly.
  • Passion for craft beer and the brewing industry.
  • Flexibility.
  • Valid WI Driver’s License

Compensation:

  • Hourly compensation, commission & sales bonuses, FAVR car allowance/mileage reimbursement
  • $100 stipend for wearables
  • Event budget (TBD)
