What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Services Coordinator position at South Shore Educational Collaborative?
Qualifications:
Licensure as a BCBA, appropriate DESE or other appropriate Commonwealth of Massachusetts license. Experience working with students in a school and home setting with academic,
behavioral and/or emotional challenges, learning or developmental disabilities or autism preferred. Must be able and willing to physically manage and/or lift students.
Work year: 12 month position
Reports to: Director of Related Services
Responsibilities:Perform the following at the direction of the program director.
1. Assist in the screening and admission of new home services students.
2. Participate in the intake of a student referral and the transition of a student.
3. Assist in the interviewing of all prospective candidates for home services.
4. Coordinate scheduling of home services
5. Develop and supervise Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA’s) and the implementation of behavioral intervention plans.
6. Provide and/or facilitate professional development and consultation to SSEC and district staff.
7. Provide supervision to Registered Behavioral Techs (RBTs), Behavioral Techs, and other home services staff.
8. Report any concerns regarding staff’s response to student or home services to the Coordinator/Director.
9. Assist in the development and implementation of monitoring systems for all program components.
10. Use de-escalation and physical management procedures as prescribed in SSEC-approved physical management training programs when
appropriate with students.
11. Uses appropriate physical techniques when lifting and/or moving students as prescribed in SSEC-approved management training programs.
12. Follows all policies and procedures as established by the South
Shore Educational Collaborative.
13. Participate in all required in-service training
14. Maintain confidentiality regarding information for all SSEC
and district staff, students and their families.
15. Perform other duties from time to time be assigned by the program director/coordinator.
