Busy Ophthalmology practice located in Massapequa; NY is seeking a part-time in person Medical Biller to join our Billing Team.
Insurance AR follow up Healthcare
* Experienced in Physician Billing, Ophthalmology preferred but not required. P/T with option to transition into F/T.
*Strong written and oral communication skills.
*Computer literate.
* Ability to prioritize and multi-task with strong organizational and analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and accept direction.
*Responsible for accurate and timely follow-up of outstanding claims.
*Responds to inquiries and correspondence for assigned accounts.
*Knowledge of medical insurance coverages including Workers Comp & No Fault.
*Familiar with Insurance carrier websites.
*Place outbound calls to Insurance for status of outstanding claims.
*Analyze remittance/explanation of benefits.
*Submit appeals for denials and/or underpayments.
*Verify Insurance coverage, contact guarantor regarding Insurance discrepancies.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
