Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Rooms; the Guest Service Agent is responsible for collaborating with team members to ensure efficient and smooth operations with the ultimate goal of exceeding guest expectations. The expectation is that this role is to respond in a professional and courteous manner to guests by providing accurate and timely information and services at all times. This role is responsible for ensuring that hotel charges are processed diligently to guest's accounts, registration and check in procedures are followed, billing instructions are verified, all necessary supporting bills and vouchers are included as necessary. The Guest Service Agent may be asked to fulfill duties beyond what is listed below:
Essential Functions:
1. Ensure outstanding customer service at all times.
2. Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
3. Courteously and accurately answers inquiries from current and potential guests.
4. Responds to telephone and in-person inquiries regarding reservations, hotel information and guest concerns.
5. Uses suggestive selling techniques to sell room nights, increase occupancy and revenue.
6. Adheres to standard operating procedures.
7. Resolve customer issues, complaints and/ or problems in a quick, efficient manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality service.
8. Adhere to South Shore Harbour Resort policies and procedures as it relates to the handling of cash and payments, resolving guest complaints, checking guests in and out, etc.
9. Allocate rooms to expected arrivals after checking the guests preferences and special requests.
10. Build strong relationships and liaise with all other department's especially housekeeping, reservations and maintenance etc.
Preferred Education and Experience:
1. Guest Service Hotel Front Desk Experience Preferred
2. Opera Experience Preferred
3. Preferred hotel industry experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 per hour
