Job Description SummaryResponsible for advising the South Shore Health and their staff on their legal obligations and options, while ensuring compliance with the law. Conducts and facilitates the contract management and tracking functions, and represents the Company’s interests in various transactions. Works closely with the Compliance team and staff outside the legal department. Drafts and reviews agreements, supports transactional work, conducts legal research, and legal and business communications, and performs special projects as requested.Job DescriptionMinimum EducationJuris Doctorate from an accredited law schoolCurrent license to practice law in MassachusettsMinimum Work ExperienceA minimum of one (1) year of practicing business law preferred. Specific experience in business contracting and acquisitions preferred. Experience in healthcare law a plus.Required Additional Knowledge and AbilitiesSolid knowledge of regulatory compliance as it pertains to client server contracts, vendor agreements and / or physician contracting is highly desired.Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.Exceptional written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact within all levels of the organization.Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills.Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Demonstrated judgment and discretion.#J-18808-Ljbffr
