Minimum Education - Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in exercise-related field preferred

Previous coursework and/or participation in work or volunteer experience in the area of health, fitness, or athletics

BLS - Basic Life Support

Performs cardiac rehabilitation functions to facilitate patient cardiac fitness. Participates in process of assisting the patient with cardiac risk factor reduction.
Essential Functions
- Patient Care:
- Instructs community exercise programs in land, aquatic, and virtual based classes
- Instructs personal training sessions
- Screens community participants for safety/appropriateness for community exercise program
- Provides education to community participants within scope of position
- Monitors class volumes and alerts community programs manager if too high or low
- Inspires participant loyalty to programs via class instruction techniques
- Environment and Department Maintenance/Infection Control
- Assists in the maintenance of the department’s overall physical environment
- Maintains practices according to infection control guidelines for the department
- Monitors pool chemistry per departmental guidelines as applicable to area
- Works with Rehab Team members to ensure all equipment is cleaned before and after each use
- Clerical Duties
- Performs clerical duties to assist with daily operations of the department including:
- Scanning community participant documents including MD clearance, health history, participant waiver
iii. Assists with Customer Collection functionality in Workday as appropriate

- Calling patients as directed

- Communication
