Job Description
This position involves working as a Registered Nurse on our Med/Surg unit, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. You will be responsible for medication administration, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, and promoting a culture of safety and quality within the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications accurately and safely, following SSH policies and procedures.
- Develop, discuss, and communicate prioritized problem lists/plans of care for each patient.
- Continuously assess and reassess patient needs, identifying care requirements and documenting outcomes.
- Promote a 'Culture of Safety' through personal ownership and commitment to a safe environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree in nursing from an accredited school.
- Previous acute care RN experience, preferably in a med/surg setting.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Massachusetts.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with potential for additional certifications depending on the department.
