Power Plant Equipment Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Fires, operates, controls, maintains, and repairs high-pressure boiler and steam generating systems, including auxiliary equipment.
• Performs scheduled tours, inspections, and documentation of the boiler room to ensure operating conditions meet specified functions or instructions.
• Calculates materials needed and develops material lists for chemical treatment and other supplies.
• Maintains records, schedules, and documentation, prepares reports on energy consumption and labor/material expenditures, and develops cost estimates.
