Job Summary
The Clinical Professional Development Specialist is responsible for leading, facilitating, and participating in inter-professional quality initiatives, focusing on educational programs, evidence-based practices, and competency management. This role requires expertise in adult learning principles, coaching, and mentoring, as well as a commitment to lifelong learning and evidence-based practice.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and Deliver Education Programs: Create and implement educational programs for nursing staff, including orientation, continuing education, and new nurse transition to practice programs.
- Manage Competency Framework: Develop and manage a competency framework that identifies knowledge, skills, and abilities essential in daily clinical practice for nursing staff, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care.
- Collaborate on Research and Evidence: Advise, collaborate, translate, integrate, and evaluate research and evidence within the organization through practice, education, and reflective discussion with staff.
- Mentor Nursing Staff: Provide guidance and support to nursing staff, helping them develop their skills and competencies.
