Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Marina Dockhand to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the marine environment and possess strong mechanical knowledge. As a Dockhand, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our marina, providing exceptional service to our customers, and maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the dock area.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the docking and undocking of boats, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Perform routine maintenance on marina equipment, including cleaning and minor repairs.
- Monitor water levels and weather conditions to ensure safe boating practices.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting boaters, answering questions, and offering assistance as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dock area, including trash removal and equipment organization.
- Help with the rigging of boats as required, utilizing mechanical knowledge to ensure proper setup.
- Assist in inventory management of supplies and equipment necessary for marina operations.
- Collaborate with team members to uphold safety standards and protocols within the marina.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a marina or boating environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge is essential, particularly related to rigging and boat maintenance.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
