Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide leadership and supervision of each millwork project. You will work closely with project managers, designers, and production teams to ensure that each project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that projects are executed and completed to customer specifications, on time and on budget.
- Establish relationships with customers to ensure ongoing communication, problem resolution, and customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Coordination of all project phases with estimator, architect, sales, customer, installers, site supervision and production.
- Work with Estimating providing job-specific details essential in developing an accurate budget.
- Schedule and/or assist with all meetings related to development, fabrication, installation and timely completion of the order.
- Enter and/or oversee all initial hours and costs into the data tracking system.
- Review architectural drawing and subsequent shop drawings prior to submittal for approval.
- Produce a scope-specific delivery schedule delineating hours an dates for each production process. Complete work orders with hours from estimate.
- Review drawings with contractor to verify all dimensions prior to fabrication.
- Requisition materials and hardware and confirm order placement.
- Generate custom accessory quantity takeoffs.
- Review purchase orders and vendor delivery performance.
- Monitor the shop fabrication/ production process maintaining communication with production manager.
- Sub-contract installation and obtaining quotes as-required.
- Conducting job-site reviews with installers, addressing any issues requiring clarification.
- Generating change orders to include specification additions and revenue/ cost impact.
- Work with shipping operation specifying ship date(s) and special accommodations.
- Ensure that all documentation related to the order is properly entered in the SSM data base; provided to production and installer; and given to customer if required.
- Complete monthly billing process based on contract stipulations and job progress.
- Periodically reviewing architect's punch lists.
- Review and sign off on installer's billing.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural millwork project management or related fields.
- Strong understanding of millwork construction techniques, materials, finishes, and industry best practices.
- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and millwork shop drawings.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field preferred (but not required).
